Chris Cavanagh is a UK-based video playback operator and on-set editor working across major feature films and high-end television productions. He is known for F1: The Movie, Supergirl, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Cruella and the Jurassic World franchise among others. Specialising in the QTake video playback system, as well as rapid on-set editing, he supports directors, cinematographers, and VFX teams by delivering immediate visual references and precisely timed playback during filming. Chris is experienced with complex multi-camera workflows, green screen and VFX-heavy sequences, and maintaining reliable video pipelines on fast-paced sets. Known for his technical precision and calm problem-solving under pressure, he plays a key role in helping creative teams review, refine, and execute shots efficiently during production.
