- While attending Loyola Marymount University, Rob began his first short film as a sophomore. He cast Emma Stone in the lead role. He majored in Pre-Med but decided to pursue film after graduation.
- Rob Watt and film composer Jason Pelsey Co-founded Jaybird Coffee, famous for their Chocolate Truffle Coffee, to inspire creatives and gain financial independence from studios. This move was largely inspired by Francis Ford Coppola.
- Rob grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona and attended Brophy College Preparatory.
