- Susan has worked as a DOP across a broad range of moving image projects including feature films, TV drama & documentaries. In all her work she strives to use the camera to create evocative images that reflect & explore character journeys & story themes. She is known for eliciting high production values and working as part of a team. Flexible & easy going, Susan has a strong work ethic & high-level technical knowledge.
Credits include 3 series for Netflix & Film Gate Productions in the United Arab Emirates. Feature films Bloodshot Heart, which won Best Cinematography at 18 Salento International Film Festival 2021. Risen, a sci-fi set in the American mid-west and shot in Canada and Australia. Won Best Cinematography both at the New York Independent Cinema Awards. Her Documentaries have Screened on Discovery, Disney+, National Geographic and Netflix as well as ABC & SBS TV in Australia.
She has experience working alongside stunts, armourers, fight co-ordinators & VFX teams. She is a gifted operator & has filmed from helicopters, boats, planes & motorbikes. She has worked with Gimbal, Steadicam & Jimmy Jib.
