Son of Salvador Luís Cabral Braamcamp Sobral, paternal grandson of the fourth Count of Sobral Nobleman of Coat of Arms of Braamcamp (timber), de Almeida, de Castelo-Branco and da Cruz Sobral with crown of Count, and wife and second cousin once removed and third cousin of Luísa Maria Cabral Posser Vilar, great-great-granddaughter of the first Viscount and first Count of Mossâmedes Nobleman of Coat of Arms of de Almeida (timber) and de Vasconcelos with crowns of Viscount and of Count, great-great-granddaughter of the fourth Count of Mafra Nobleman of Coat of Arms of de Melo (timber) with crown of Count, great-granddaughter of a sister of the first Count of Almarjão, great-great-granddaughter of a brother of the first Count of Alvelos and wife daughter of the second Viscount and first Count of a Azenha. Both his parents are descended from a bastard son of Louis XV, King of France.
