Biography

Karl Steudel has been acting on and off since high school, where he won the Drama bowl award. Then in 1999, the bug bit him hard. Diving in with both feet, he has since been in dozens of films, television shows, commercials, and industrial videos. You can rent his principal film work in "Willows Way" on Netflix, or you may have seen him as Charles Darwin on PBS NOVA. In April, 2014 on the Travel channel's "Hotel Secrets and Legends", you will see Karl in the supporting role as a Becker, a radical co-conspirator, intent to break free of the Newly founded United States. Karl continues to land work both in LA and also his hometown of New England. Some of his favorite jobs are also as a hand model.

Karl has also worked a costar on All My Children, and recently performed in his first 99 seat equity show, "Langston and Nicholas" at the Stella Adler Theater. This show was acclaimed by the LA Times as 'The Best Play in LA".

In the comedy arena, Karl opened live on stage for Paula Poundstone, and co-founded an improv-singing-telegram service called "Rap-o-Gram", catering to such clients as The Garber Travel Agency and many private parties. But his favorite gigs were the birthday parties for adults and kids alike. Every one is a kid when grown men come into your house rapping. For you Disney fans, Karl recently made a memorable 'crash' debut on the cold open of "Austin and Ally" Episode 1. Every Austin and Ally fan recalls the tall goofy guy who he stumbled over a drum set, and sent a rack of cymbals flying. Karl did his first ever stand up comedy set at the Mbar in March, 2014. He actually got quite a few laughs and had fun. Recently Karl has fallen in love with UCB (Upright Citizens Brigade) and continues on studying and performing with them.

Also, a Music Composer, Pianist, Saxophonist and Singer, Karl has licensed his original music recordings to multiple National Television shows such as; The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, Bravo, HGTV, The Food Network,The History Channel, VH1, Hogan Knows Best, and many others. - If you watch TV - you have heard Karl's music - . Karl has also presented to the Nashville Songwriter's Association on the Business of Licensing Music for Film and Television. Next plan is for his first Music video to begin pre-production. Karl also has had a great singing career. Karl was recently a paid singer in a new music production touring in Los Angeles.
