  • Eliza Power (born 14th June 1989) is an award-winning screenwriter, actress, and playwright, trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Her acclaimed script A Hand to Hold has been adapted into a film directed by Philip Clyde-Smith and starring Murray McArthur, Frances Barber, and Shane Casey. The film celebrated its World Premiere at Telluride Horror Show in October 2025, followed by its California Premiere at the 41st Santa Barbara International Film Festival in February 2026. It is screening in Academy Award-qualifying competition at the 50th Cleveland International Film Festival and other leading festivals across the USA and Australia throughout 2026, and is an official selection of FrightFest 2026 (UK Premiere) and the Landshut Short Film Festival (German Premiere).

    Her screenplay I’m Sorry About June has garnered multiple awards, including Best Short Screenplay at Festigious Los Angeles 2026, and Best International Screenplay at The Dunwich Horror Festival 2026.

    As a playwright, Eliza’s work has been staged internationally, with productions in London, Ireland, the Edinburgh Festival, New York, Atlanta, Sydney, and Berlin. She currently has two television comedy series in development with UK production companies, alongside several feature films and original drama series.
