Joana Amaral Dias was born on May 13, 1975 in Luanda, Angola. She is a writer and actress, known for Psicopatas Portugueses (2027), A Filha (2024) and Crime Abismo Azul Remorso Físico (2009).

Daughter of Carlos Augusto Amaral Dias and Teresa Maria Nunes Vicente, both doctors.

Sister of Henrique and Leonor and half-sister of Carlota, from her father second marriage.

Has a son named Vicente Santos Monteiro (b. 1997) and a daughter named Luz (b. February 2016).

Graduated in Psychology.
