Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer is an award-winning actress, singer, composer, and producer.
On screen, she has appeared as Ella on 9-1-1 opposite Angela Bassett, and in the feature films Playing for Mozart and Replica alongside Mickey Rourke. Her television work also includes guest appearances on Madam Secretary and Criminal Minds, as well as a series regular role as Kiki on the Emmy Award-winning series The Fresh Beat Band, for which she received two Imagen Award nominations. She has also lent her voice to Disney’s Goldie & Bear and Nickelodeon’s The Fresh Beat Band of Spies.
On stage, Gonzalez-Nacer originated the role of Fate in the Broadway production of Hadestown (Grammy Award winner and 8-time Tony Award winner), and starred as Satine in the first national tour of Moulin Rouge! The Musical. She also appeared as Vanessa in the first national tour of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s In the Heights, and as Mrs. Wright in the world premiere of Real Women Have Curves at American Repertory Theater.
As a producer, she served as Executive Producer on Hurricanna (starring Holly Hunter, Mark Duplass, and Sylvia Hoeks), and as Associate Producer on Replica, The Curse of La Patasola, and A Holiday Boyfriend. She also produced the theatrical tour of Cambodian Rock Band.
A recording artist, violinist, and composer, Gonzalez-Nacer has performed at venues including Madison Square Garden and Carnegie Hall, and has collaborated with artists including Jason Mraz, H.E.R., Justin Bieber, and Ne-Yo. Her original compositions have been featured in numerous films and television projects, including the feature film Life Itself, written and directed by Dan Fogelman. She composed music for the feature film Replica and composed and orchestrated the main theme for The Curse of La Patasola.
She is the producer, arranger, and performer behind If the Fates Allow: A Hadestown Holiday Album, featuring the cast of Hadestown. Her work includes a John Lennon Songwriting Contest win, and she was previously signed to BMG Publishing. She recently joined forces with the Emmy Award-winning composing team at Matter Music.
Gonzalez-Nacer holds a BA from the University of Miami and has trained with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).
