  • Renee Tod is an Emmy Award-winning producer, highly creative ideator, writer, and seasoned development executive known for blending her passion for music, history, true crime, and film. She has documented tours with artists including Sublime, No Doubt, The Foo Fighters, Mike Watt and Firehose, Fishbone, Pepper, and Lee "Scratch" Perry. Out of film school, she conceptualized and story-produced the Sublime documentary Stories, Tales, Lies and Exaggerations and the music series Refused TV. In 2019, she produced the Netflix series ReMastered, which earned multiple Emmy nominations for Tricky Dick and the Man in Black (Outstanding Research), Who Shot the Sheriff (Outstanding Arts & Culture Documentary), and Massacre at the Stadium (Outstanding Historical Documentary). Her film The Two Killings of Sam Cooke received an NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Documentary. Renee served as Head of Production and Development for Relentless Media (branded, commercial, and sponsored content) for seven years, recently produced a branded documentary for Estée Lauder, was supervising producer on CNN's six-part series The Story of Late Night, and has developed unscripted series for Blue Ant Media/Studios, Cream Productions, and B-Side Films. She brings a rare combination of visionary creative instinct and strategic production expertise-delivering compelling content across both Canadian and U.S. markets as a dual citizen.
