Biography

Unati Mangaliso

Overview

  • Height
    5′ 4″ (1.63 m)

Biography

  • Born in Ithaca New York and raised in Amherst Massachusetts Unati received her BFA in Theatre at UMass Amherst. Surrounded by music and education, Unati holds her South African heritage very dear to her as her family used both as activists in her eyes. Unati has used her passion for social justice through the years in most of her work from theatre, to television, film, and video games. From co-hosting the girls' empowerment program, "Girl Central", Performing in Eve Enslers: "A Memory, a Monologue, a Rant, and a Prayer", or playing Eve in (the musical retelling of Adam & Eve) "Songs of the Fall", Unati finds it fun and exciting to illustrate how beautiful it is when stories are told from diverse perspectives. Her credits include: "Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, "Seal Team", and the Primetime Emmy nominated series (highlighting the lives of transgender women) "Her Story". She can also be seen in the "University of Phoenix" spot, and Issa Raes comedy short "Black Twitter Screening", ...but really simply jamming out (with the limited knowledge of guitar she has) with friends, because along with acting, music is in her always.
