Biography

Daniel Dasent was born and raised in the Caribbean Island of Trinidad. He first got the Acting bug when he was spotted on the street by a Talent Agent and he got right into Commercials. His first Supporting Role in a Feature was the 1994 Film 'Innocent Adultery'. He was then asked to Audition for a role in the TV Series 'Westwood Park' where he landed a role as the Stalker 'Lionel Nielsen'. He played that role for two Seasons.

He studied Meisner with Meisner Alumni and Acting coach David Cox at the Actor's Playhouse in Austin, Texas for 2 years. He also completed the 'Uta Hagen' process with Uta Hagen Alumni and Acting coach Mark Durso at AcTrue in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

With his passion for action films and martial arts, Daniel has received formal firearms, martial arts and boxing training. Most recently he has been pursuing Japanese sword and Gung Fu.

He now has 16 Awards under his belt from various Film Festivals and has also taken a turn at Directing for which he has also won Awards. He continues to make Film and TV appearances. He is married to Jelka Dasent,

In his spare time Daniel enjoys playing tennis, squash, running and water sports.
