Prajaktta Mali

Prajaktta Mali is an Indian actress known for her work in Marathi television and films. She made her acting debut on television with the popular Marathi serial Suvasini, where her portrayal of the lead character won her critical acclaim. She later appeared in other notable Marathi television shows like Julun Yeti Reshimgathi, Naktichya Lagnala Yaycha Ha, and Maharashtrachi Hasyajatra, establishing herself as a household name.

Prajaktta was born in Pune, Maharashtra. Passionate about performing arts from a young age, she pursued a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Performing Arts (Bharatnatyam) from Lalit Kala Kendra, Pune University. During her academic years, she excelled in classical dance and actively participated in theatre, street plays, and inter-college competitions, which laid the foundation for her acting career.

The seeds for her acting journey were planted during her college days when her performances in plays and dance competitions earned her widespread recognition. Her talent and versatility caught the attention of the entertainment industry, and soon she bagged her first major television role with Suvasini.

Expanding her creative horizons, Prajaktta turned producer with her first film Phulwanti, released on 11th October 2024 under her banner Shivoham Creations Pvt. Ltd. Phulwanti showcases her passion for meaningful storytelling and her commitment to bringing fresh narratives to Marathi cinema. The film was well-received for its sensitive portrayal of emotions and authentic storytelling, marking an important milestone in her journey as a producer.

After making a successful mark on television, Mali transitioned seamlessly into films. She appeared in movies like Kho-Kho, Hampi, Pandu, and Luckdown Be Positive, showcasing her range across genres from drama to comedy.

Apart from acting, Prajaktta is also a trained classical dancer and has hosted several popular shows, including Maharashtrachi Hasyajatra, where her charismatic screen presence further endeared her to audiences.
