Andrea Bauab is an Argentinean-Israeli playwright, writer and screenwriter. She directs the Creative Writing Workshops at the Cervantes Institute in Tel Aviv..
In 2003, she created the TJC Company in Buenos Aires. The company staged ten works of her authorship, including "Tres Hombres de Bien" which premiered in 2009 and is still on stage in Buenos Aires. This play was also performed in Puerto Rico and Miami, and won the First Prize at the prestigious Open Stage Festival of the Beit Lessin Theater in Tel Aviv. In 2018, Or-Am editions published it under its Hebrew name - "Thundering Silence"
In 2013 she created the blog "An Author Is born", and the best posts were gathered in her book "50 Tips for Better Writing"
In 2016 she published her novel "The Last Love Story" and in September 2018 her play "La Herencia" premiered in Buenos Aires. This play obtained 5 nominations at the New York Latin Theater Festival, including the "public vote".
In 2023 and 2024 the Yiddishpiel theater in Israel performed two of her works: "With one foot on the plane" and "It's never too late."
From 1994 to 2002 she served as Press Director at the Embassy of Israel. Between 2002 and 2006 she was Director of Programming at the Menorah TV Channel in Buenos Aires. From 2006 to 2009, she headed the Script Committee of the San Luis Cine Cinematographic Development Fund. She is the screenwriter of the film "Letters for Jenny" (2009) the first co-production between Argentina, Spain and Israel.
