Kimberly is a third generation sound editor. In 1954 her grandfather Ken Wilhoit began his Music editing career, her father Michael Wilhoit began editing in 1974 he is a Supervision sound editor. Jeff Wilhoit, Kimberly's uncle is a Foley artist. Lisa Wilhoit is Kim's sister, she is an actress and a voice over artist.
