  • Said that her anorexia was the result of "a troubled childhood.".
  • Was part of a very controversial and much publicised campaign by Italian fashion house No.l.ita. The campaign involved photographs taken by Oliviero Toscani which featured Caro naked, with her gaunt and fragile figure on display and the words "No Anorexia" beside her. After claims that the campaign seemed to be a way for No.l.ita to exploit the disease for commercial gain, the adverts were banned in several countries.
