- Andrés Castañeda is a Colombian actor, director and interdisciplinary artist. He has worked extensively in film and television, as well as in contemporary theater and the performing arts. Since 2002, he has been a member of Mapa Teatro.
His film credits include Love in the Time of Cholera (2007), The Páramo (2011), El Faro (2013), Violence (2015), Seven Heads (2017), The Red Tree (2021) and Quicksand (2023).
His television credits include Frontera Verde, Green Frontier, Pssica, Palacio, The Hijacking of Flight 601 and Rivers of Fate.
Castañeda holds a Master's degree in Theater and Live Arts from the National University of Colombia and a degree in Performing Arts from the Francisco José de Caldas District University. His artistic practice encompasses acting, directing and performance, moving between cinema, television and contemporary art.
