Born into a middle-class family in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Amrapali displayed an early affinity for acting, fueling her passion for the craft from her school days at Nari Shiksha Niketan in Kaiserbagh.

Growing up with two siblings, an elder sister named Megha Gupta and a younger sister named Aditi Gupta, Amrapali was immersed in a supportive family environment. Her father, who was formerly employed at a collect-orate in Lucknow, provided encouragement for her pursuits in the field of acting.
