Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Marie Avgeropoulos is a Greek-Canadian actress. She is internationally recognized for her captivating performance as "Octavia Blake", a cunning warrior, in the post-apocalyptic Emmy-nominated drama series, The 100 (2014), in which she starred in all 100 episodes, mesmerizing her audiences with a physically intense and transformative performance. Avgeropoulos commands the screen with both a vulnerability and a rugged, primal intensity, showing mastery in specialized swordplay and equestrian stunts throughout the entire series. Her beloved character maintains a worldwide fan base. On the silver screen, amongst Marie's many credits include playing real life 1940s wrestler "Elvira Snodgrass" in the biopic Queen of the Ring (2024) alongside Emily Bett Rickards, Walton Goggins, and Josh Lucas, The Painter (2024) opposite Jon Voight and Madison Bailey, and Golden Globe-nominated 50/50 (2011), alongside movie veterans Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Marie has also become a go-to TV actress with notable guest appearances on hit shows, such as Wild Cards (2024), Supernatural (2005), Fringe (2008), Eureka (2006) and Human Target (2010). Born and raised on the shores of Lake Superior in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, Avgeropoulos trained in classical theatre at Studio 58 in Vancouver before embarking on a professional career.

A lot of people have been saying <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/title/tt2661044/?ref_=nmqu_qu">The 100 (2014)</a> reminds them of <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/title/tt0100054/?ref_=nmqu_qu">Lord of the Flies (1990)</a>, <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/title/tt0411008/?ref_=nmqu_qu">Lost (2004)</a> and <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/title/tt0076984/?ref_=nmqu_qu">Battlestar Galactica (1978)</a>, and all of those titles have been very successful and interesting to watch. Any time anyone refers to any of those great shows, I&#39;m flattered.

I have a 1200cc Harley Davidson motorcycle that I like to rip around. I&#39;m Canadian so it&#39;s nice to live in LA where you can ride it all year long and it&#39;s not freezing at -40 which is a bonus.
