  • Born Alana Lyn Hays and raised in Los Angeles, CA, her passion was never in the film industry. Instead Alana's interests were in fashion, design, and makeup. After graduating high school, Alana modeled for print and runway. She has done work for Diesel, Dolce & Gabbana, Miss Sixty, Diane Von Furstenberg, Catherine Malandrino and Marni. In 2002-2004, Alana attended the James Albert School of Cosmetology, and was a makeup artist for the Pageant of the Masters. It wasn't until she met Nyle Cavazos Garcia that she tried her hand at special effects makeup. Her first project for Small Town Pictures was "The Dark" (2008). Alana's collaboration with Small Town Pictures continued with "Living The Dream" (2008), "Bleeding" (2009), "A Long Road" (2010) and "The Man with the Red Right Hand" (2011), which she also co-produced. Alana role as Producer continued on Nyle Cavazos Garcia's horror web series "Mary's Journal" (2011), the short dramatic thriller "Houston & 6th" (2012) and the upcoming horror feature film "Olivia's Fingers" (2013), both also written and directed by Nyle Cavazos Garcia. Alana and Nyle married in the US Virgin Islands on March 3, 2012 and now work and live in Brooklyn, New York.
