- Eddie Safranski was born on December 25, 1918 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. He was an actor, known for The Jonathan Winters Specials (1964), Let's Make Rhythm (1947) and The Subject Is Jazz (1958). He died on January 10, 1974 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
- Powerful double bass player, first with Hal McIntyre (1941-1945) ,then with the Stan Kenton Orchestra (1945-1948). Notably featured on the Kenton tracks Artistry in Bolero and Painted Rhythm. In the 1950s, worked with Benny Goodman and did studio work on the east coast.
