Frantisek Plánicka had 76 national team caps (37 as captain) from 1926 - 1938. He came back from the 1934 World Cup to Prague with a runners-up medal as captain of the Czechoslovakia team. He was the last living member of the Czech squad at the 1934 World Cup and the last surviving player from either team to play in the final.
