- Teddy Osei was born on December 1, 1937 in Kumasi, Ghana. He is known for Boyhood (2014), Top of the Pops (1964) and The Goodbye Girls (2006). He died on January 14, 2025.

- Two years after graduating college he co-founded a band called "The Comets." The Comets enjoyed brief popularity before he traveled to London in 1962.
