Mariana da Silva is a Brazilian-born, American, Mexican-raised actress, writer, and cultural organizer working across film, theater, and audio storytelling. She began her training at Telemundo’s prestigious Taller Telemundo under Oscar-nominated actress Adriana Barraza and later expanded her work as a writer in CBS’s Pipeline Challenge.

Mariana is the founder of El Cine, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to accessible film education, community dialogue, and celebratory screenings centering Latin American cinema. El Cine was profiled by the Los Angeles Times for its impact and programming. She is also the host of El Cine Underground, a podcast on Spectrevision Radio exploring Latin cinema through a contemporary, irreverent lens. Her work bridges performance and advocacy, with storytelling shaped by her Brazilian, American and Mexican upbringing and a commitment to bilingual, culturally specific narratives. Mariana wrote, directed, and starred in Ybor City, the first Spanish-language production created under the mentorship of Oscar-winner Tim Robbins, marking a significant milestone in her artistic practice.
