  • Emanuela Ponzano is a writer/director and actress in both Cinema and Theatre.Born in Brussels She divides her time working mainly between Rome, Brussels and Paris. She had a Science Politics degree at the Univesity in Brussels in 1995 and finished the Drama National school at the Conservatoire Royal of Liege in 2000 in Belgium. Emanuela works in Cinema and Television as an actress for a number of directors such as John Irvin,Philippe Garrel, Maurizio Zaccaro, Giulio Base, Rene' Manzor, V. De Sisti, T. Shermann,Edo Tagliavini and Giorgio Serafini. In 2006 she was nominated for Theatre Award at "Prix Jacques Huisman" in Brussels, Belgium. In 2008 she won the National Artistic Award "Filomena Carrara" for "best actress" in Italy,Abruzzo "BagnAsciuga"(mute-b&w-3m45) &"Riflessi" (color-20'52") are her first short films, directed and realized in the same period in Italy in 2009. Shown at many national and IFF in Europe, Asia,Usa and Mexico,Riflessi won three National prices in 2010 in Film Festival like Rutger Hauer's "I've seen films"IIF in Milan. In 2013 she attends in Competition la 70 Mostra in Venice with La Jalousie by Philippe Garrel with Anna Mouglalis and Louis Garrel. The Sled is her second short fiction film selected in more than 110 international film festival between 2016 and 2017 with more than 40 Awards and qualified for the Oscar race 2018. . Una Nuova Prospettiva is the last short film in 2020 and had the Première at TFF38 Torino Film Festival. With 93 Iff selections and 34 awards the film has been nominated at the National press award. SHE is developing the script for her first feature and she won the National Ministry film fund in Italy.
