He is involved in panels and workshops promoting Casting as an Art in Poland and Europe. Jury member of various film festivals. Involved in working on the recognition of casting in Poland. This activity result in the awarding of the "best casting category" at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia in 2022. Founder of Polish Casting Directors Guild (PCDG).

Piotr Bartuszek is a Poland-based casting director with over two decades of experience casting feature films, television and streaming projects across Eastern Europe and internationally. He has cast more than ninety titles and is widely recognised as a leading authority on casting in Central and Eastern Europe.

His notable credits include casting Marie Noelle's "Maria Curie" (2016), Claire Denis’s High Life (2018), Who Will Write Our History (2018), "Woman on The Roof" (2022) as well as major Polish and international productions for film and television. His recent work spans the acclaimed TV series Agent Hamilton, Furia, Ca, C'est Paris, Deutsches Haus and ongoing international projects such as Lady Love (2024-2025).

Bartuszek’s deep regional expertise, multilingual fluency and extensive network of talent make him a first-call casting partner for projects seeking authentic and high-quality European casts. He has been instrumental in elevating the profile of casting in Poland, including driving industry recognition that led to the establishment of the Best Casting award at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia in 2022.

He is the founder of the Polish Casting Directors Guild (PCDG) and active in fostering international collaboration. Piotr’s professional affiliations include the International Casting Directors Association (ICDA) - where he served on the board - the Casting Society (CSA), the European Film Academy (EFA), and the Polish Film Academy (PAF)
