- Eddie Bonin is an Emmy award-nominated and Visual Effects Society award-nominated VFX Producer for TV, film, commercials, emerging media and special venue projects. Bonin is a VFX production expert, who has helped oversee the production of dozens of highly complex projects, including HBO's "Lanterns", HBO's "The Penguin", HBO's "True Detective", Netflix's "Avatar: The Last Airbender", Netflix's "One Piece", Netflix's "Love, Death & Robots", Netflix & Tim Burton's "Wednesday", Netflix's "Stranger Things", Marvel's "Legion", and AMC's "The Walking Dead".
Bonin is a champion for digital tradespeople who facilitate visual effects and digital production as the intersection of art and technology, within advanced storytelling. Production Innovation is an area of focus for Bonin, as he views the traditional VFX industry and the VFX experts occupying new production crew positions, alongside other new partners, as paramount in how digital artists and tools are advancing the entertainment production industry at large with modern filmmaking.
Bonin has been on the Television Academy's Special Visual Effects Peer Group Executive Committee since 2013, including service as TV Academy Governor representing the visual effects & special effects communities for two terms from 2022-2025. During service as Governor, Bonin was elected by fellow Governors to also serve on the Executive Committee of the TV Academy alongside other industry leaders and studio heads. Bonin is also an active member of the Visual Effects Society and Producers Guild of America. Bonin is a Regents Scholar UCLA graduate, originally from California's Silicon Valley.
