Biography

Nadira Murray is an award-winning independent film producer based in Scotland (Sylph Productions), recognised for internationally successful, festival-led cinema. She is a Rising Star Scotland 2024 (Screen International), BIFA Breakthrough Producer 2022, recipient of the BFI & CHANEL Filmmaker Award 2023, and a BAFTA Scotland Best Feature winner.

She is the lead producer of Winners (dir. Hassan Nazer), the UK’s Official Entry for Best International Feature at the 2023 Academy Awards®, which went on to win BAFTA Scotland Best Feature, the BIFA Discovery Award, Raindance Best Film and the Audience Award at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, and was released worldwide on platforms including Amazon Prime, Apple TV+ and BFI Player.

Her current slate includes projects selected at the Berlin International Film Festival in both Panorama and Forum, marking her continued presence on the international festival circuit. Nadira is a selected member of the EAVE Producers Workshop 2026 (Creative Europe - MEDIA) and an alumna of the Media Business School, where she completed a Master’s in European Audiovisual Management.
