Troy Lum

  • Troy Lum began his career as a film distributor and has released some of the most successful independent films in modern cinema, including The Blair Witch Project, Amélie, Pan’s Labyrinth, In the Mood for Love, Fahrenheit 9/11, Spotlight, La La Land, Green Book, Aftersun, and Anora. Films acquired and released by Lum have received over 80 Academy Award nominations and have grossed more than $1 billion at the global box office.

    As a producer, Lum’s credits include Saving Mr. Banks for Disney, The Water Diviner (directed by Russell Crowe), Lee (starring Kate Winslet), Dangerous Animals - the first shark horror film to be officially selected at the Cannes Film Festival - and The Convert (directed by Lee Tamahori). He also produced the global hit Netflix series Boy Swallows Universe, which became the most awarded television series in AACTA history.

    Lum produces through Brouhaha Entertainment, the production company he founded in 2021. In 2019, he was inducted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
