Biography

Tanja Ries was born on June 1, 1968. She is a writer, known for Alex und der Löwe (2010), MDR um 11 (2000) and Sachsen-Anhalt heute (1992).

Her music, a mix of chanson, pop and ambient, is often compared to the music of Tori Amos, Marianne Rosenberg and Björk.

In Berlin, she's a well-known and critically acclaimed chanson singer. Since 2002, she has hosted the annual Berliner Chanson Festival.
