- Her nephew Millington Conroy and Odyssey Auctions were sued in 1994 by Anna Strasberg to prevent the sale of Marilyn Monroe's personal items Melson had kept, and her sister had given to Conroy. After winning the suit, Strasberg declared that she would never sell the items. In 1999, Christie's auctioned the bulk of the estate, netting $12.3 million.
