Rafael Reis(I)

Rafael Reis is a Brazilian filmmaker born in Três Corações, in the interior of Minas Gerais. At the age of 17, he moved to São Paulo, where he began his film studies. His first film was Não Tenha Medo (2009), followed by Linha Tênue (2012). He took a hiatus from creating original content, having worked for Fox Sports channels for 8 years and then moved to Canada. He returned to Brazil in 2021 and founded the audiovisual production company R2 Films. Since then, he has been producing intensively: Simbiose (2022), O Lado Obscuro (2023), the multi-award-winning A Difícil Arte de se Despedir (2024), Pela Fé (2024), Explorando as Alturas (2024). Rafael is also the founder and Director of YVY - Teresópolis Environmental and Mountain Film Festival. Bachelor's degree from Anhembi Morumbi and Universidad Europea de Madrid (Spain), postgraduate degree in Marketing (FMU).
