Klive Walker is a music historian, cultural critic and writer. He has appeared in the television series Heart Beat (2007) and Black Community Mixtapes (2023). He is a consultant on and is on-screen in the documentary film: Play It Loud! How Toronto Got Soul (2024). He was born in the UK, then as a pre-teen he moved with his Jamaican parents to the land of their birth. He now lives and works in Toronto, Canada.

His book Dubwise: Reasoning from the Reggae Underground was published in 2005. He is the author of several essays on music, photography and cinema. Some are featured in a variety of books including The Global Reggae Reader (2012) and 100+ Voices for Miss Lou (2021). Another essay How The Harder They Come Created Jamaican Cinema (2017) was published in the Toronto International Film Festival's online magazine-TIFF Review.
