Originally from São Paulo, Brazil. Attended the UCLA MFA in Screenwriting program on a Fulbright Scholarship. Taught himself English to read Star Wars books and screenplays as a teenager. In addition to his TV work, he has also published an award winning graphic novel. Grew up in the town of Piracicaba, SP, where he attended undergrad. Before his work on Grey's Anatomy, Beto has worked for Globo Studios, Latin America's biggest TV studio and broadcaster.
