Biography

Scott Hardie is an acclaimed and award-winning American writer-director who grew up in El Dorado Hills, California. He received his MFA degree in Film Production from the University of Southern California, where he honed his skills in crafting compelling and thought-provoking films. Prior to that, he earned his BA degree in Communication Studies from Sonoma State University.

In recognition of his writing talent, Scott was named an Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting Semifinalist. He has also received critical acclaim for his film, Father of the Flying Car (2022), which earned him the Deb Bauer Unsung Hero Award at the Catalina Film Festival.

With his unique blend of artistry and scientific knowledge, Scott has carved a niche for himself in the film industry as a writer and director of stories that explore the intersection of creativity and technology. His films delve deep into the human psyche and tackle complex themes such as the fragility of life, the search for purpose, and the power of the human spirit to overcome adversity.

At the age of 21, Scott Hardie directed his first feature documentary, Harvest Young (2007). The film premiered at the Sonoma International Film Festival.

In 2003, Scott Hardie played NCAA football for Sierra College during the Wolverines' first undefeated season.
