Biography

Mavis Leno was born on September 5, 1946 in San Francisco, California, USA. She is a producer, known for Period. End of Sentence. (2018), 60 Minutes (1968) and Entertainment Tonight (1981). She has been married to Jay Leno since November 30, 1980.

First met her future husband, Jay Leno, when he was performing in a Los Angeles comedy club. She was in the audience and was laughing at all his jokes at the right time.

Her father was E.A. Nicholson, a character actor on TV shows and movies. He played the hooded executioner in the film, In Cold Blood (1967).

Active in the Feminist Majority Foundation.
