She is an artist with a passion for powerful and authentic storytelling. Tijuana's focus includes indie filmmaking, where she has truly made her mark. Not only is Ms. Layne an uniquely talented and skilled actor, but she has penned over 21 screenplays, produced 21 films, and directed eighteen. Known for her edgy and provocative approach to social storytelling, her films such as The Blue Lady, In The Echo of Evil , and The Blue Rose earned her respect within the indie film community. Tijuana is internationally awarded. Her brilliant and honest portrayals has also earned her recognition in the industry as an artist to watch. With The Science of Fear, Ms. Layne tackled the difficult subject of intimate partner abuse and was awarded best actress at The Hamilton Black Film festival. Tijuana is in production for her highly anticipated film The Color of the Heart (2025) and is preparing for her feature film, Sad Eyes, which delves into the powerful and important topic of human sex trafficking. Tijuana's continued dedication to powerful and thought-provoking narratives solidifies her as a force to be reckoned with in the film industry.
