  • After working for several years as a producer and development manager in film and television, Maria Drandaki founded her own production label Homemade Films in 2009. Maria's slate includes works by some of the most unique and daring voices in Greek and international cinema, most notably the internationally acclaimed feature films by Syllas Tzoumerkas (Homeland, A Blast, The Miracle of the Sargasso Sea) and Yorgos Zois (Interruption), multi-awarded short films Limbo and Electric Swan by Konstantina Kotzamani and A Drowning Man by Mahdi Fleifel, and debut feature films Her Job by Nikos Labôt, The Gulf by Emre Yeksan and Quicksand by Margot Schaap. Her latest productions, the feature film The City and the City by Christos Passalis and Syllas Tzoumerkas had its world premiere at the Encounters competition of the Berlinale 2022 and its North American premiere at New Directors / New Films, while Christos Passalis' Silence 6-9 world premiered at the Official Competition of Karlovy Vary IFF 2022.
