Biography

As a multi-talented theater and screen artist, among others of his notable stage performances, he played the role of the Dwarf in Ben Jonson's "Volpone" directed by Giorgos Kimoulis at Roumeli Municipal and Regional Theatre in 2006 and participated in "The Tiger Lillies Freakshow" at Badminton Theatre (Athens Greece) in January 2009.

Has achondroplasia, a form of dwarfism in which the body is perfectly formed but the bones initially modeled in cartilage, the long bones of the arms and legs, do not grow long enough. Diego Velázquez painted a fine portrait of a man with this condition, which hangs in the Prado in Madrid.

In 2009, Michalis Tamboukas directed the short film Giant Footsteps (2009), which includes a portrait of Eirini Mavromataki, a multi-talented artist of stage and screen, whose physiology is similar to one of dwarfism due to Osteogenesis Imperfecta (Brittle Bone Disease) and it was first screened in 2009 at the 3rd International Festival Documentary and Disability-Emotion Pictures in Athens, Greece. The film also contains a respective presentation of Dimos Gigantakis' multifarious activities, with his narration dubbed by Michalis Tamboukas (uncredited) due to technical reasons.
