Biography

Angela Christofilou is a London-based actress, voice-over artist, singer-songwriter, and photographer of English and Greek heritage, with an English mother from Lancashire and a Greek father from the Peloponnese. Bilingual in English and Greek, she trained at the Athens Conservatoire and went on to feature in Greek TV series in lead and recurring roles immediately after graduating, before moving to London.

She also began her voice-over career in Athens, notably voicing Gloria in the Greek-dubbed version of the Academy Award-winning animation Happy Feet. After relocating permanently to London in 2008, where she continues to live and work, she has voiced leading roles in video games, documentaries, audio books, animation, TV and radio commercials, and charity campaigns. Her on-screen work so far includes roles in feature films, as well as TV commercials and independent short films.

Alongside her performance work, she is also documentary and protest photographer. Her photography focuses on activism, human rights, and community-led storytelling, often in collaboration with social movements and grassroots organizations. Her work has been featured in exhibitions, books, magazines, and documentaries. She has built a decade-long archive documenting protest movements in London, which is housed at the Bishopsgate Institute.
