Biography

Natalie Thomas was born in Crescent City, California, and spent her childhood training as a ballet dancer. At nineteen, she traveled to Europe to work with Nederlands Dans Theater II and later with William Forsythe's Ballet Frankfurt. She toured internationally with dance-theater repertoire, performing at renowned venues such as the Brooklyn Academy of Music and Sadler's Wells.

Natalie's exposure to text in dance-theater productions sparked an interest in acting, prompting her move to New York City to study the Meisner Method. She went on to work in film, television, and theater. Her stage highlights include collaborations with The Wooster Group, multiple productions with director Jay Scheib, and a year-long run as Lady Macbeth in Punchdrunk's acclaimed production Sleep No More. Natalie's first feature film, Month To Month, written and directed by Wes Hopper, earned her the Best Supporting Actress award at the Iowa Film Festival. She later starred in Everything Is Gonna Be Pink, directed by Academy Award-nominated Roni Ezra. She also appeared in Portraits in Dramatic Time, an installation by David Michalek, alongside William H. Macy, Alan Rickman, and Holly Hunter.

Expanding into creating her own work, Natalie began writing and producing with Brock Labrenz's company An Films, making projects such as Heute Nacht, 1901, and Any Other Normal. After relocating to Cologne, Germany, Natalie studied screenwriting at the International Film School Cologne. Before graduating, she was hired by Bildundtonfabrik to write for the second season of the award-winning Netflix series How To Sell Drugs Online (Fast). Natalie went on to collaborate with Bildundtonfabrik for six years, writing numerous projects for streamers including Netflix and Disney+.
