Biography

Born and raised in Minnesota, Ric has been a professional stand-up comedian since 1990, performing thousands of shows all across the country at such prestigious venues as the L.A. Improv, the World Famous Comedy Store, Ice House, Comedy Gallery, Acme Comedy Company and Stanford's Comedy House. Ric's "Instant Comedy" and energetic style make for unforgettable one-of-a-kind shows.

Emmy Award winning comedian Jeff Cesario calls Ric "Edgy yet likeable" and Louie Anderson says Ric "can work with me any time he wants to." Actress/comedian Julie McCullough (Growing Pains, Drew Carey Show) says "Audiences loves him as much as the club owners." Jeff Altman (HBO, Tonight Show) calls Ric "Very solid" and Marc Price (Family Ties) thinks Ric is "Professional. Smart. Amazingly funny."

He has worked onstage with Louie Anderson, Mitch Hedberg, Tommy Chong, Eddie Griffin, Ralphie May, Jeff Altman, Judy Gold, Jeff Cesario, Kevin Meaney, Dom Irrera, Rondell Sheridan, Julie McCullough (Growing Pains, 2012: Ice Age), Marc Price (Family Ties, Trick or Treat), Joel Hodgson (MST3K), Tom Wilson (Back to the Future) and Rick Rockwell (Attack of the Killer Tomatoes), plus many others.

Ric was a semi-finalist in the American Accolades Screenplay Competition with his script "Stand-up and Deliver". A former computer forensics expert, Ric is also lead singer for the classic metal band Deafend Spirits, black belt instructor, criminal defense attorney, and owner of Ric McCloud's Comedy Cabaret.
