  • Stephen Latty is a filmmaker, colorist and digital imaging technician. His credits as a colorist include feature films "Grandma" & "Moving On" for director Paul Weitz, two documentary films for legendary DP Haskell Wexler, the HULU show "PEN15" and many documentaries and commercials. As a DIT, his recent work include's "Dope Thief" on AppleTV. He is an active member of the International Cinematographer's Guild. He co-founded the LA-based color house Bunte Farben to enable filmmakers and cinematographers to control the digital pipeline and instill their creative vision throughout production to the finished film. Stephen has directed documentary films throughout North America, Europe and in West Africa. His directing credits include "The Drums Inside Your Chest" series of poetry concert films in collaboration with Amber Tamblyn, "You Belong Everywhere: Portrait of a Living Poet" about poet-publisher Derrick C. Brown, and "True Somebody: The African Soccer Dream" a feature documentary born of a project commissioned by PUMA. He is a graduate of the Film MFA program at Art Center College of Design, where he also teaches color theory for filmmakers. He received a BA with honors in English Literature from the University of California at Berkeley.
