Brent is from the SF Bay. He studied acting at the Atlantic Theatre Company in NYC and then at the MFA program at the National Theatre Conservatory. Upon graduation from the NTC, Brent returned to NYC, where he appeared off-Broadway, on television, and in film, and completed the Upright Citizens Brigade's improv training program.
Brent is also a writer and a journalist who covers science/technology, travel/adventure, and health/fitness for an array of national outlets. Starting in 2015 Brent combined his two careers when he began hosting a series of videos for Wired Magazine called Out of Office with Brent Rose. The series would become Wired's most popular hosted show of all time and would lead to producing two Discovery Channel shows starring Mark Rober.
Brent now resides in Los Angeles where he is continuing to study improv at The Groundlings.
In his spare time Brent surfs, snowboards, freedives, hikes, camps, and cooks.
