Laura was born in Surrey, England. She trained at Drama Studio London and studied Music at Southampton University. She spent over 10 years living in East London and now lives in Stratford upon Avon with her husband and daughter.
Laura's TV & Film work includes Eastenders (6 episodes as Miss. Gardner, a teacher), Holmes & Watson (Columbia Pictures, US version), starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reily in which she plays Young Sherlock's Mother, A Christmas No.1 (Sky), The Duchess, starring Keira Knightly (Pathe/BBC Films). She also starred as Jane in short film The Wind Cries (Marks Brothers Productions) which received it's premiere in 2019 at the 'Dances with Films' festival in LA.
Laura has featured in numerous commercials.
Earlier in her career, Laura mainly worked in theatre - credits include; Liz in Blonde Bombshells of 1943 (No.1 Tour), Susan in We Didn't Mean To Go To Sea (Eastern Angles), Katie Maurice/Understudy Anne in Anne of Green Gables and Mrs. Fazackerly in Carrie's War (Novel Theatre Company - Sadler's Wells) and Atlanta in Jason And The Argonauts (BAC). Laura has worked regularly for immersive theatre company Secret Cinema.
Laura is an accomplished musician and plays the Clarinet, Piano and sings. She performs with gypsy jazz folk band Scratchy Beard.
