Ian Woosnam was born on 2 March 1958 in Oswestry, Shropshire, England, UK. He has been married to Glendryth Pugh since 12 November 1983. They have three children.
He was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire)in the Queen's Honours List before being awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2007 Queen's New Years Honors List for his services to
sport.
