- Stanislav Kostyushkin is a Russian singer, poet, actor, and TV host. Former member of the band Chay Vdvoem.
From an early age, he immersed himself in the musical atmosphere, attending jazz concerts and hanging out with jazz musicians. Jam sessions were often held in their apartment. He played the piano from an early age. He studied piano at a music school. He also took vocal lessons and was a soloist in the school choir. In 1989, Stas graduated from the Leningrad N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov College of Music, majoring in piano. He also graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory (vocal department), where he studied opera vocals with Irina Bozhedomova. He was in the same class as Anna Netrebko, with whom he was friends. From 1989 to 1990, he studied at the Amsterdam Conservatory in the Netherlands.
After studying in Holland, he began working at the Zazerkalye Children's Theater. There, he met Denis Klyaver. In 1994, they formed the group Chay Vdvoem (although the duo didn't initially have a name, it appeared in 1995). They debuted on December 20, 1994, at the Leningrad Youth Palace, at the opening of a branch of the Europa Plus radio station. The band's first producer was musician Sergei Kuryokhin, a friend of Stas's father. Their first song was called 'Pilot'. They wrote over 100 songs, released 11 albums, and shot 14 music videos. In 2012, Denis and Stas announced the duo's disbandment.
