Scott Kelly was born on February 21, 1964 in Orange, New Jersey, USA. He is an actor and writer, known for Endurance: My Year in Space, I See You and Big City Greens the Movie: Spacecation (2024). He has been married to Amiko Kauderer since July 13, 2018. He was previously married to Leslie Yandell.

He is the identical twin brother of astronaut Mark Kelly.
Kelly, divorced, has two children.
Commander Kelly and Russian Flight Engineers Alexander Kaleri and Oleg Skripochka returned from the ISS and safely landed their Soyuz spacecraft on the Kazakhstand Steppe on March 16, 2011.
On October 7, 2010, Kelly launched aboard the Soyuz TMA-M spacecraft to serve a tour of duty on the International Space Station. He assumed command of Expedition 26, once the Soyuz TMA-19 undocked on November 24, 2010, for five months.
In 2007, Kelly was the Mission Commander on the 119th space shuttle flight, flown on the Endeavour. The mission was designated STS-118. This was the 22nd flight to the space station. The crew successfully added important parts and material to the International Space Station. Kelly supervised a total of four spacewalks. The mission traveled 5.3 million miles in space and was completed in a little over 12 days.

I chose the Navy over the Air Force because I thought landing on the ship would be harder and more challenging than landing on a runway, and I was right, and then I was a fighter pilot. I flew the F-14 Tomcat and then decided that being a test pilot was the next level of flying challenge. And then I decided, I guess a lot of guys that are test pilots put in an application to be an astronaut and thinking then of the next level would be being a pilot or commander of the space shuttle some day, and timing and preparation and luck aligned for me to get an interview and then get selected.
We have many goals on board the space station, both programmatic and personal. As far as my personal goals are concerned, my priority is that no one gets hurt, we don't break any of the space station hardware, and we meet all of the program objectives.

[When asked what he looked forward to about spending 6 months aboard the International Space Station] I look forward to getting to spend more than just a few weeks and getting comfortable enough to feel like I'm actually a resident of the cosmos, I guess you'd say, rather than just a visitor.
