Biography

Raised in the former Soviet Union, Lyubov Smirnova began her modeling career very young. When she reached 12, she was in command of every catwalk she stepped onto. Discovered immediately for her exotic beauty, she was already torn being pulled in many directions. Her home was where here heart was, but America was calling and that's where her opportunities waited. By the time she left Russia for America she was much more than a successful European SuperModel. At 17 she had earned her Bachelors Degree in Fashion, and 2 years later her Masters Degree in Applied Sciences of Business Finance from Saint Petersburg University of Russia. Indeed she was much more than a pretty face.

Not to snub the very work that brought her to the USA, she was unable to hide her fascination in the art of photography. She began studying under the best known Photographers New York had to offer. It was a bit of a transition, but more for the photographer than herself. As if time were frozen, she managed to acquire another Bachelors Degree, but this one was in Fine Art Photography. She knew then her happiness was found looking through rather than at the lens of a camera. And so, she hung up her modeling robe and began working primarily as a fashion photographer.

From there she put out her shingle introducing Smirnova Studio's to the world. She was welcomed with endearing fans and open arms. Today she finds pleasure in the diversity that waits in every shoot she accepts. From the stage of the newest Television Show or Film to the many International gatherings where fashion enlarges her personal creativity, Lyubov remains thoroughly grateful for all she has experienced.
