Biography

  • "Powerhouse" -Paste Magazine

    "Pitch Perfect" Publishers Weekly

    "Hilarious" -AudioFile Magazine

Jorjeana Marie is a comedian, the Los Angeles Times bestselling author of Improv for Writers (Penguin Random House) and a staff writer on the Emmy nominated Tab Time with Tabitha Brown. She voices Disney's magical rabbit "Trickini".

Whether creating the fantastically funny as a television writer at Disney, DreamWorks, Netflix, YouTube or as an accomplished actress opposite Randall Parks in "Listen to Grandpa, Andy Ling" with Elliott Gould, she fearlessly and equally brings hilarity and sincerity. Uniquely, she combined her talents and created a voice for a recurring character she wrote for Disney.

As a nationally touring comedian she has performed alongside some of the biggest names in comedy at The Improv Comedy Clubs, Catch a Rising Star and Gotham Comedy Club. Her style of acting out characters in her life and from her wild imagination has been useful for her film work and easily translates to her prolific career as an award-winning audiobook narrator.

If you like listening to your lit, you may have laughed or cried over her compelling characters in over 400 audiobooks. Jorjeana has won a variety of awards including a prestigious Audie Award, twelve Earphones Awards, a SOVAS and a YALSA award. Named one of the best Young Adult Voices for several consecutive years, she works regularly with the majority of audio publishing houses Penguin Random House, Scholastic, Harper Collins, and Simon and Schuster while narrating across genres for legendary authors including Meg Wolitzer, Nina La Cour, Jacqueline Woodson, R. L. Stine, Elizabeth Gilbert, Kate DiCamillo, A.S. King and Gayle Forman.

The voice of the "New Nancy Drew Diaries" can also be heard in the biggest franchise video games: Final Fantasy, Red Dead Redemption, Harry Potter, Star Trek and a lead as an alien in an untitled Steven Spielberg project. She runs the boutique production company Autumn Leaf Productions with her partner Phillip Mosness. They produced the award-winning "Doorknobs" and have several projects in development.

As a playwright, Jorjeana has been produced at the Neighborhood Playhouse, 78th St. Rep and P.S. 122. She also created three one-woman shows: "Ally, MaryJane & Me", "NY, I Love" and "JoJo and Friends", a sold-out solo sketch show with animation, puppets and stand-up.

Jorjeana attended New York University's TISCH School of the Arts Dramatic Writing Program and received her Master of Fine Arts degree in Writing for Children and Young Adults from the Vermont College of Fine Arts/CalArts.

While she shares her passion for improv, teaching, and speaking at Disney, Google, and Writer's Digest, she is often involved in many charitable organizations: Gilda's Club, Comedy Cures, Paul Newman's Double H hole in the Wall, Scriptwriter's Network, and Young Storytellers.
