Jacob Bernhardtz (born in Lima,Peru) was raised in Stockholm, Sweden. After graduating from Södra Latins gymnasium he pursued a career within the fashion industry after studying 2,5 years at the Academy of Fashion & Patterncutting. This eventually led him into working as a Costume designer within the film & TV industry starting in 2006 where he worked for large networks like SVT, TV4 while exploring new ventures in commercials, shorts and music videos.
In 2010 he graduated in Business Economy from IHM Business School, after studying marketing, international economy and law. This led him into a new career the following years in the ecommerce industry where he held several high ranking positions for both Swedish and international companies, with extensive responsibilities within digital sales, business development and digital marketing as well as a project manager and team lead.
By 2024, his love for film and storytelling brought him back to the film industry. By that time he had developed new skills as a screen writer, producer and director for his own shorts and pilots, among those the pilot "En gång var vi kungar".
After producing two student films for SKH ( University of the Arts in Stockholm) as a part of his education at Newton as a Film producer he is now fully focused in developing new projects in his Storytelling company Towanda Stories as well as engaging in new collaborations. One of the student films, "Fish out of water" recently was awarded Winner of Recognition by Accolade Global Film Competition 2025 for Best film by student.
Jacob lives in Stockholm Sweden and has one daughter,born in 2022.
